Planning Versus or For the Individual

This digitized film from the Hugo Leipziger-Pearce captures highlights of the First Regional Conference of The Nation’s Consultation on the Future Environment of a Democracy held at the University of Texas at Arlington from April 5-6, 1968. The conference demonstrated interdisciplinary interaction between representatives of the social, economic, and physical aspects of planning versus or for the individual. This film contains preliminary interviews by William R. Ewald Jr. with several notable conference speakers including, Reynell Parkins, Mary Ellen Goodman, Roger J. Williams, William R. Hazard, and George Kozmetsky. Highlights of speeches given by George I. Sanchez, Wayne Holtzman, and O’Neal Ford are also present.
