Description

This report on contracting selected state governme nt functions was produced by a policy research project conducted at the LBJ School in the academic year 1985-86 with funding from the Texas Commission on Economy and Efficiency in State Government. The report represents the project's research findings on the issue of contracting in five specific state activities -- care of the mentally retarded, care of the mentally ill, medical services, food services, and corrections.
