dc.descriptionThis trip comes at an important time for the Western Hemisphere. This diverse region — which includes Canada, Mexico, South America, and the Caribbean — is a priority for the United States for reasons other than simply our geographic proximity.  We share an interwoven history and chronology. Our nations still reflect the New World optimism of limitless discovery. And importantly, we share democratic values — values that are at the core of what we believe, regardless of the color of our passport.  en_US
