Facilities Services

Facilities Services is responsible for more than 20 million gross square feet of building space at The University of Texas at Austin. The department has approximately 750 employees who provide diverse services on the main and satellite campuses, including building operations and optimization; facilities monitoring of building automation systems and critical alarms; maintenance of major building systems such as electrical, HVAC, plumbing and fire safety systems; solid waste and recycling; warranty and commissioning; and custodial, events and moving, lock and key, landscape and surplus property services.
