Item Políticas y gobierno de la educación superior en América Latina(1999) Casanova Cardiel, HugoHigher education is undergoing a complex process of transformation at the international level. This transformation is based especially in the fields of policies and governance of higher education institutions. Since the 1980s in Latin America that trend has been growing, and higher education is undergoing a strong modification in its processes and structures. The first part of this essay offers a conceptual framework about the policies and governance of higher education in a comparative perspective. The second part examines the changing trends in Latin America and shows the cases of six higher education systems. The last part addresses perspectives and future trends.Item After Paula: An Interview with Isabel Allende(1999) Rodden, JohnItem Item La prensa latinoamericana en Internet: una instantánea de los primeros años(1997) Morfín, JaimeItem The Colha Preceramic Project: A Status Report(1995) Hester, Thomas; Hudler, Dale B.Item Charismatic Leadership and the Transition to Democracy: The Rise of Carlos Saul Menem in Argentine Politics(1995) Arias, María FernandaItem A Review of Chilean Privatization Experiences(1993) Meller, PatricioItem The State and the Private Sector in Latin America: Reflections on the Past, the Present, and the Future(1993) Edwards, Jack K.; Baer, WernerItem The Decline of Neocardenismo, 1988-92(1992) Russell, PhilipItem The United Fruit Company in Central America: A Bargaining Power Analysis(1991) Orozco, ConstanceItem Labor and State in the Mexican Oil Expropriation(1990) Brown, Jonathan C.Item Peasant Participation and Mobilization during Economic Crisis: The Case of Costa Rica(1989) Vunderlink, Gregg L.Item Potential Ethnic Territories: Mapping Linguistic Data from Modern Andean Censuses(1989) Knapp, GregoryItem Urbanization, Migration, and Development(1989) Roberts, BryanItem The Ancient Maya Craft Community at Colha, Belize, and Its External Relationships(1989) Hester, Tomas R.; Shafer, Harry J.Item After the Conquest: The Survival of Indigenous Patterns of Life and Belief(1989) Karttunen, FrancesItem The New Elite Paradigm: A Critical Assessment(1989) Case, William
