This project won second place in the 2018 Signature Course Information Literacy Award. The award recognizes exemplary student work that achieves the learning outcomes of the Signature Course information literacy requirement, that students will be able to create and execute a research strategy, critically evaluate information, and navigate the scholarly conversation. Mohit Gupta self-nominated his paper from Jonathan Kaplan’s (Department of Middle Eastern Studies) Fall 2018 Signature Course “Jerusalem.” His project was impressive because of his smart, iterative search strategy and ability to articulate the conversation between his sources. “...I commend Mohit for being able to adjust his research once he realized that his first set of articles were not specific enough” said Sigrid K. Kjær, Gupta’s TA. “His final paper and annotated bibliography reflect his acquired knowledge of the topic and through his research and willingness to seek advice he came up with some excellent articles to use for this assignment.en_US
