Description
Chapter 2 introduces the heavy lift planning system. The overall flow of the proposed planning system is provided and the tools combined to build the system are described. Chapter 3 discusses the different configurations and components of mobile cranes. An object-oriented classification of crane components is provided which forms the basis for developing a standard crane model. Chapter 4 outlines the procedure for developing a crane model and describes the geometry of standard crane objects. Chapter 5 descibes the procedure for developing a crane model and performing graphical simulation of cranes. Chapter 6 describes the library of cranes which is created to assist the development of a heavy lift planning system. Chapter 7 is a review of the study objectives, along with a summary of conclusions and recommendations
