dc.description.abstractThe purpose of the present study was to determine what high school students know about traumatic brain injury and to make programmatic recommendations based on the findings. A traumatic brain injury knowledge survey was administered to 336 high school students within a single public school district and was used to determine what and how much students know about traumatic brain injury and if there were any group differences in amount of knowledge. Results of the survey indicated that overall student knowledge was inadequate and that group differences in amount of knowledge do exist. As such, programmatic recommendations were made to supplement TBI education and awareness in the schools.en_US
