Description
In this study I have undertaken to indicate the evolution of Colorado up to the time of its admission in 1876 and I have tried to trace in its history examples of various types of extra-legal institutions which were set up by the pioneers of Colorado and struggles between the pioneer and his environment which were typical of the early settlements in the far west. I have also tried to show the organization and administration of Colorado as a territory of the United States as typical of the manner in which the Government administers and governs its territorial possessions
