Part A, which bears the name of King Irwin Glass, deals primarily with a survey of the literature on carbon black technology, a discussion of the methods of laboratory investigation used by the authors, a description of the construction and operation of the pilot plant, and a description of the properties of the untreated carbon black produced from methane by means of the electric discharge
