The role of methanol as a hydrate inhibitor has risen in industrial interest. It is found that methanol also stimulates production from retrograde gas condensate wells that show extensive productivity reduction because of near wellbore condensate buildup. The phase behavior of systems containing hydrocarbon, water and methanol was reviewed based on past experimental work. The main objective of this report is to review experimental phase behavior data available for hydrocarbon, water and methanol mixtures. The data summarized in Chapters 2, 3 and 4 can be used to verify and improve existing EOS models.en_US
