Abstract

Description

This research looks at prisoner rights, specifically the right to heath, on a global scale. It is divided into two major themes. The first part explores the topic of health versus healthcare and looks at the prisoner right to ‘healthcare’ in global constitutions. The other examines the association between overcrowding in prisons, a violation of the right to health, and rates of infection in prisons as compared to the common population.
