Forest within : a cinematic journey through the village of Serra de Navio in Amapá, Brazil

Forest Within is a recollection of memories, a personal geography of time. It is a hybrid text, a non-linear memoir, and a theoretical framing of my relationship with my territorial identity. As Raffles (2002) suggests, such “alternative” ways of storytelling are quite common in film, theatre and music, but are also legitimate in academic social sciences, particularly within the anthropological matrix, including cultural studies literature.
