The problems of the present crisis demand thoughtful the consideration which college s tu dents should give to the biggest problems in life. It is not suffi cient that we assume an attitude of impartial neutrality. We can not plead th at we are high and dry above the Continental em broglios. Our isolation has not helped the Southern cotton planter. .Moreover, there are duties as veil as interests involved in the struggle.
