easytoseehowIcoulduseit,
becauseallmysympathiesarewithyou,thereforeIofferedtoferrybombersover.

IntheafternoonthePolishCabinetmetunderthePresidencyofGeneral
Sikorskianddiscussedto
theattitudeofthePolisnGovernmentinregardthe

Russo-Germanconflict.TheCabinetapprovedadeclarationwhichGeneralSikorski
nowissuestonightintheformofaspeech,whichhemadefromthe8.8.C.to

EversincetheTreatyofBrest-Litowskof1918Russiahasbeencontinually

collaboratingwithGermanyagainstPolandwhilethatcountrydidnotyieldto
repeatedGermanoffersduringaperiodoftenyearsproposingacommoncrusade
againstBolshevikRussia.Itwasnotuntiltodaythatthepolicystartedin

RapalloonApril16,1922,isfallingwithclattertoruins.TheRibbentrop-
MolotcwTreatyofAugust23,1939,inwhichtheSovietUnioninconcertwiththe
GermansassertedthatPolandceasedforevertoexist,wasitscrownpointand
itsconsequences.

TheSovietRepublicaidedHitlerinmattersconcerningmilitary,political,
andeconomicdomainsaswellaspropaganda.Thesedoingshaveledtoslaveryin

conqueredcountriesandcompletedestructionoftheircultureandtheireconomics.


AtthemomentweareentitledtoassumethatinthesecircumstancesRussia
willcancelthePactof1939.Thatshouldlogicallybringusbacktotheposition
createdbytheTreatyconcludedinRigaonMarch18,1921,betweenRussiaand

Poland,recognisedonMarch15,1923,bytheConferenceofAmbassadorsandon

AprilsbytheUnitedStatesofNorthAmerica.ThisTreatywasconsideredtobe
foundeduponasoundandreciprocalagreement.Thepoliticalandmoral
significanceofsuchanactwouldbetremendous.


Willitnatural,evenonthepartoftheSovietRussiatoreturn
notbebut
toSeptember,1918,whentheSupremeSovietCouncilsolemnly
thetraditionsof
declarednullallpreviousdictatesconcerningthepartitionsofPolandrather
thanactivelytopartakeinherfourthpartition?

Foroftheircountry,theirfreedomandhonour,
thelovethousandsofPolish

menandincludingthreehundredthousandwarprisoners,arestillsuffering
women,
inRussianprisons.Shoulditnotbedeemedrightandhonesttorestorethese

peopletotheircountry?

WealsohavebeentakenbysurprisewithregardtoAdolphHitler’sfresh
attackagainsthisally.Notsomuchbyitsmurderousformagainstwhichthe

Sovietsnowprotesting,
areforthatiscustomarytheirnature,toasbytheir

militarycharacter,whichtestifiestoafargreaterweaknessoftheGermanReich

thanwesofarsuspected.Thisattempttodestroythemilitarypowerofthe

SovietUnioninordertoavoidathreattotherearoftheGermanArmieswhenthey
assaulttheBritishIslescanonlymeanthattheGermansfearthatmilitarypower.
Thecostformaterialsofneedforsuch
questatalltherawRussiaprovesthe
materials.

ItrustthatthememoryoftheruthlessstrifecarriedonagainsttheChurchof
Romeandforitscompletedestructioninthe3rdReich,andtheattackonPolandwill
softentheattitudeoftheVaticanwhichHitlerwouldfalselylurebydreamsof
progressoftheCatholicChurchintheEast,whichthatdevilincarnatewouldpretend
toThe
encourage.Germanpropaganda,presposterousinitsfalsehoodandinsolence,is
