The collapse of the Soviet Union in 1989 ended its enormous economic support to the island of Cuba. As a result Cuba experienced, and continues to experience, rapidly deteriorating economic conditions. This changing environment has caused much analysis, speculation, scholarship, and publication in the fields of economics, political and social sciences, and business. This bibliography focuses on changing economic conditions in Cuba as a result of the dissolution of the USSR.en_US
