Abstract
Fear of a Führer is a play about trauma -- in subject (a girl who is the first victim of genocide in Nazi Germany puts on a show for her enemies), in dramaturgical structure (language and image repeat and transform), in process of development (as a series of traumatic accidents shaped and changed the artists involved and their work). Fear of a Führer is the embodiment of the essential interaction of process and product in generating a new work of nontraditional theater collaboratively.
