Description

A briefing discussing health systems "from the perspective of the right to the highest attainable standard of health." Its main topics include historical landmarks of health systems, how to define health systems, strengthening health systems from a "right-to-health" perspective, the building blocks of a health system, some specific ways to strengthen such systems, and the importance of the concep to "the right to health" in estabishing a health system. One section includes portions which were underlined by hand; those sections mention the Declaration of Alma-Ata and an observation by the World Health Organization.
