Abstract

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This report provides a detailed feasibility analysis of a proposed pilot project for demonstrating the effectiveness of several candidate alternatives for the restoration of Town Lake water quality conditions. It also includes an environmental evaluation of both the pilot project and a lake-wide restoration program, which incorporates the general methodology of the pilot project and the recommendations developed in the previous report, the Alternatives Study. Based on these analyses and evaluations, all of the components of the pilot project were determined to be feasible and to have primarily positive secondary (non-water quality related) environmental impacts. Therefore, the City is recommending the implementation of the entire pilot project as described in this report as a key element in the overall restoration of Town Lake.

Description

This report presents the results of a water quality study conducted on Waller and surrounding creeks. This information includes nitrogen unit load, TOC unit load, runoff and other data.
