Abstract

This study analyzes the psychological constructs of hope, gratitude, and forgiveness and the psychological benefits they confer. These same benefits are then argued to be conferred to those in Christianity that practice genuine repentance within each specific realm of each construct, due to the ongoing, guiding role that repentance plays in each construct, shown to be influenced by various theologies and practices of Christianity.
