Abstract
Due to increases and booms in technological advances, there have been rises in casual, hobby, and e-Sports video game play as well as growth in e-Sport spectating over the past decade. With these increases in video game play and e-Sports spectating, there has been a surprising lack of research investigating this population of young adult individuals due to two primary reasons: (1) the stigma that video game players are always unhealthy and obese, and (2) that young adults do not need to be investigated due to them being considered as an ideal comparative population. This thesis aims to investigate the relationship, if any, between the time young adult e-Sports Athletes and Casual Players are engaged in video game play versus the time they are engaged in Physical Activity.
