Abstract

Using a comparative analysis, this thesis investigates the potential for integration between Syria and Lebanon, particularly following the withdrawal of Syrian forces from Lebanon in April 2005. The political and economic differences between the two nations offer opportunity for each to complement the other under a supranational construct. In such an integrated community, Syria and Lebanon would ideally combine their respective resources and financial competencies to better face the impending challenges of globalization
