Abstract

This digitized film from the Hugo Leipziger-Pearce captures a trip to a steel factory, likely in the Houston area. The home movie shows factory workers overseeing the production of structural steel building materials. The second half of the film captures the construction of Houston’s Republic National Bank. Architect Walter Scarborough is seen discussing the building’s design with a colleague in the final portion of the home movie.
