From March 1989 through January 1992 sediment samples were taken from subtidal areas within the boundary of the Padre Island National Seashore. These samples were taken as part of a large multidisciplinary study to determine how a hot, hypersaline estuary is able to maintain a large commercial finfishery harvest. ...
