My thesis consists of three plays: Flesh and the Desert, a kaleidoscopic portrait of Las Vegas, 1:23, an investigation into three recent cases of infanticide, and Enchantment, inspired by the complex life of Bruno Bettelheim, touching upon Autism, Nazis, and Fairy Tales. The process essay examines the relation of theory to practice both for characters within the three plays, Flesh and the Desert, 1:23, and Enchantment, and also within my life, in the practice of pursuing a career and life as a playwright.
