Abstract
The suffix "of color" has become ubiquitous in library discourse. However, in this session, we argue that there is power in differentiating and naming racial and ethnic groups when conducting library outreach. We will explore examples of outreach activities that take varying levels of specificity in approaching diverse populations, and we will assess their outcomes for success in terms of current and future library usage by these populations.
