dc.description | This report presents the findings of a project undertaken by the LBJ School and the Community and Regional Planning Program for the Congressional Research Service (CRS) on local growth management and open space initiatives in the United States. The CRS has found considerable congressional interest on the question of land use policy and how it impacts quality of life. The topic presents a particularly interesting case of policy analysis given the complex intergovernmental relations involved as well as the active participation of nongovernment actors, including nonprofit organizations and private enterprise. | en |
