Description
This investigation of the applications of information technology to improve workforce development services in Texas was conducted by a policy research project in 2000-2001, sponsored by the office of the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts in connection with its E-Texas initiative and by the Entertech Project of the IC2 Institute at The University of Texas at Austin. Recommendations from the project aim to highlight ways that information technology can be implemented to increase the efficiency, effectiveness, and equity in the Texas workforce development system, administered by the Texas Workforce Commission and local Workforce Development Boards collaborating with employers, workers, and their organizations, education and training providers, and other community organizations.
