dc.description.abstractThis is a presentation and showcase of many different parts of a world I created, known as Ślśat. Originally based on constructed linguistics, the world eventually became much more fleshed out over the course of more than two years. Through this process of creating a world, I was able to look at our own world in a more holistic way. Herein are explored three central aspects regarding what comprises any society, and even mankind as a whole. First there is Folklore, which is the embodiment of a people. Then History, which is the narrative of reality and why the present day is as it is. Lastly I examine language, which is the fundamental building block for the first two elements. All three of these pieces weave and intermingle with one another throughout the whole of the human experience, no matter the scale. With these concepts, I seek to answer fundamental questions about what exactly it means to be a human.
