This report examines the history of American political parties and if they have become an obsolete force in current day politics. The report uses historical context to explain today’s partisan divides as well as how a loss of power by the parties has affected the government and the country. Finally, questions are put forth to aid American citizens and future political leaders in fixing a broken system
