Abstract
Construction processes are starting to become more mobile and are starting their assembly outside of the job site. Off-site piping is a critical and costly process that goes through design, fabrication, transportation, storage, installation, and inspection. Through the reception of information from executed projects, this thesis analyzes the two main processes of pipe fitting, welding and coupling, and how the increased productivity obtained by factory production changed unit rate values. After the removal of outliers, the significance of the seven pipe diameters analyzed was established by the usage of a Mann Whitney-test with a significance level of .05 to determine which processes successfully improved productivity.
