Description
At the time of this study, the site of production of the female sex pheromone of B. fumigata was unknown. Further work on pheromone chemistry as well as research into hormonal influences on the pheromone producing system are dependent to varying degrees upon the definition of the location of pheromone production. The following study was conducted in an attempt to discover the site of sex pheromone production in females of B. fumigata.
