The Gulf of Mexico Intraslope Basins (GIB) Project was an industry-sponsored project. It was a collaborative effort between the University of Texas at Austin Institute for Geophysics, the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Texas at Arlington, and the Instituto Andaluz de Ciencias de la Tierra at the University of Grenada, Spain.
