Computational Model (Zemax) of a Mouse Eye for Visible and Near-Infrared Wavelength Ranges

The mouse eye is strikingly similar to the human eye and is commonly utilized in ophthalmic research. Despite its ubiquity in research literature, the mouse eye has gone largely under-reported in terms of its quantitative optical performance, especially in the near-infrared wavelength range. Still, a need remains for a simple mouse eye model that might be used in developing optical systems to probe murine models. To that end, this work packages available anatomical and refractive index data into a Zemax OpticStudio mouse eye model. A short document accompanies the files to describe the process undertaken to produce this mouse eye model.
