Originally captured on cassette during the 1980s and 1990s, University of Texas Libraries began reformatting the recordings in this collection into digital files in 2013. The project to digitize these tapes is ongoing; digital copies of event recordings will continue to be added once cassettes have been reformatted and audio has been reviewed for index terms like persons, places, subjects, and architectural buildings and sites mentioned by speakers. Once completed, the collection will contain approximately two hundred downloadable interviews and public lectures, many given at UT-Austin's Goldsmith Hall or Jessen Auditorium, with prominent architects and architectural historians from both the United States and abroad, including AIA Gold Medalists Fay Jones, Ricardo Legorreta, Charles W. Moore, Glenn Murcutt, and César Pelli.

Audio files in this collection are EID restricted. Individuals without an EID should send an email request to apl-aaa@lib.utexas.edu.
