Battle Hall Research Binder
These document scans represent primary and secondary source material that describe the history of the building currently called Battle Hall and its various occupants over the years. The name "Battle Binder" derives from a project that took place in 2011, the year of the Battle Hall Centennial, as part of the School of Architecture's Battle Research Lab. The documents were found and scanned by a volunteer named Sarah Cleary. (207.6Mb)

A collection of resources relating to the history of Battle Hall.
This object represents digitized versions of primary and secondary source materials that were originally collected, copied, and housed together in what are called the "Battle Binders" in 2011 by volunteer Sarah Cleary. The documents all relate to the history of what is currently known as Battle Hall--its original design by Cass Gilbert, its construction and renovations, its many occupants over the years (organizations and people), and its preservation.
