    Abstract
Corpse Driving Car describes how principles of the Grotesque are applied to a selection of sculptural installations. The goal of the work generated under these principles requires an audience to experience laughter, astonishment, and horror/disgust for the work to ascend to the Grotesque Level. By successfully garnering the desired reactions a path becomes available to connect with indelible aspects within a definition of essential humanity. The following text will describe the principles of the Grotesque and how they function through levels of simulation throughout the sculptural installations presented.
