Local Employment Policy in a High-Growth Economy: Matching Training and Jobs in Austin, Texas

Abstract

This report on local employment policy in Austin is the product of a Policy Research Project conducted in 1980-81 for the Private Industry Council of the Capital Area Manpower Consortium. Funding for the research was provided by Title VII of the Comprehensive Employment Training Act of l 973. The report contains data on the characteristics of the Austin area labor market and recommends special programs to assist minority groups in finding and keeping jobs.
