Item Picturing Mexican America: A visual, digital, history of the future(2023-04-14) López, MarissaPicturing Mexican America (PMA) is a cluster of public facing, digital humanities projects that illuminate the history of nineteenth-century, Mexican Los Angeles. In collaboration with the Los Angeles Public Library, Professor López has built a mobile app, curated social media feeds, and collaborated with other public facing institutions in Los Angeles to circulate archival materials in the public sphere. In this talk Professor López will describe PMA's activities as well as the digital work and education necessary for her and her research team to bring these projects to fruition.
