    COLONNETTE: A Practice Driven Investigation of Type Design, its History, and the Field as Occupation

    For my combined Plan II Thesis and Design BFA Capstone project, I designed a 6-weight display typeface called Colonnette that is steeped in the history of traditions of type design and calligraphy through the ages. The design and process of developing this typeface was informed by concurrently conducted visual and typographic research as well as a literature review and communications with practicing professional type designers.
