Spoonts was another particu­ lar star in offense, but Estill out­ stripped them all. The big boy s e e m ­ ed to be tireless and got into every play. He was, as usual, very fast, and threw' the Southwestern backs time after time for big losses. Th * game in detail w as as follows: Texas won the toss and selected the north end of the field. Head* I rick kicked to Spoonts, on Texas' twenty-yard line, who advance d twenty. A forward pass, Spoonts to Massingill, went out of bounds. A second one, to James, also failed, and Kirkpatrick punted forty-five yards to McHenry. By a series of straight line bucks, McHenry, Head­ rick and Voigt advanced the hall 20 lost one yard on yards. McHenry an end run, and Snipes kicked to Kirkpatrick, who returned five yards. Texas punted to McHenry, who re­ turned twenty yards. Headrick went thru the line for a three-yard gain, Voigt was bumped for no gain, and the ball w ent to the Orange and the White when Headrick failed to ad­ vance it.
