OF 1929 “T lw Book That’s Different99 THE 1929 CACTUS— one of the most remarkable books ever issued on this or any other cam pus— outstanding in the uniqueness of its features, the completeness of its representation, the beauty of its art work— can truly be called “the book that’s different.” Leaving the traditional design and make-up of college annuals, this book sets a new standard for yearbooks of the nation. Issued at a cost of $27,000, it stands as a worthy souvenir of a great institution. The CACTUS of 1929 is ready for presentation to the students of the University of Texas for whom it was made and whose approval it is designed to merit. Distribution of the book will begin at I p. rn. Friday in B. Hall and will continue until 9 o’clock at night. Cash subscribers who have made part payments on the book should bring the balance due in cash. No checks can be accepted. Subscribers who have signed library deposits and who have been notified by the Cactus office that their deposits are now insufficient to pay for the Cactus, should bring $5 in cash and their library assignments will be released. (Part library assignment and part cash cannot be accepted.) Library deposit cannot be released until book is taken up by subscriber. The Cactus can be delivered to the subscribers only. and only one copy will be delivered to each individual. THE TEXAS STUDENT PUBLICATIONS B.
