MR. CHRISTIAN~ The President has called a meeting for 6 ~30 tonight in the White House of the members of the National Security Council, the service Secretaries , Joint Chiefs, the Under Secretaries of Defense and State, and other appropriate civilian and military officialso 
The meeting will be in the Cabinet Roomo It will relate to Vietnam and will be a follow-up to the President vs consultations with General Abrams on Tuesday and ~numerous consultations by cable with Ambassador Bunker. 
I will shortly advise the networks that the President's present plans are to go on the air any time after 8 P.M. tonight for a statement.
