Hogan, when their daughter, Miss Mary Lou Hogan, became the bride of Warren Penn Knox of San Antonio. The ceremony was performed by Rev. In the hall were white Killarney roses and smilax. In the library and din ing room the same color effect was carried out, with chandeliers draped with maline and smilax, softening the glow of the electric lights. The speaker said that these funda mentals, as they are revealed in the poem s of the author under discussion, are: The existe n c e of a God and the kind of God in whom Browning believed his attitude toward Christ, anti his attitude toward the life a fte r port, where we are now a t the head o f C ausew ay Bay, g e ttin g “ fixed up.-’ W iseacres around here say that on ly a very few years ago Chinese the bay, and o u tsid e on the ocean ag a in st u n su sp ectin g and unprotected craft. This is illustrated, said Dr. Wharey, in his “ Christmas E v e ” and in his “ S a u l.” His next point w as that Brow ning believed in Christ and the story of incarnation.
