Stalling-, all-University pitching selection, and Hugo Her mann, ( afe'is all-University hurler, put on a fine pitching duel for six the Cafe pitcher gi fting the best o f the argument, : due to the bolding tendencies of j the Lambda Chi fielders. Hermann was scattering his hds, while Stall ing' gave only five, str iking out J i innings, with , nine men during the course of the game. C afe started activities by scor ing in the first inning with the aid I o f a Lambda Chi error. They got three more in the third when the Lambda Chi outfield started to boot the ball around. The f ra ter two nity batters were collecting markers during this interval, and i when the two team s entered the final inning, Cafe was leading by two runs. Ifeimann struck out Bert Boom er, first Lambda Chi batter. T. , ^ W illis singled. Braswell flied out, and two were down. Stallings kept things goin g by singling. F. Smythe grounded ; and Willis run and Stallings, besides pitching an owl game, helped his air-tight eause a great deal by gettin g two hits in four trips to the plate, and scoring two of his team ’s runs.
