Since his adop­ tion by the Navy, “P ig ” has over­ come two worthy opponents in mortal combat. His first encounter was with the large bull-dog which has Co. “B ” painted in red letters upon his back. Co. “B ” was defeated in a fierce battle lasting two minutes, while “P ig” re­ ceived only a slight cut on the shoul­ der. H is next victim was a big, burly, “Civvie” dog, who tried to enter B Hall without due ceremonies. “ P ig ” made quick work of this unwelcomed visitor. It was decided at a special meeting of the sailors aboard the U. S. S.
