During the past year, the U n i­ versity experienced an I ti estim able loss by the death of Dr. Garrison, Professor of H istory, aud the School o f Hiatory w a s further embarrassed by til* resignation of Instructors Ham­ ilton, Dunean, and W orley. Although no bucvesosr to Dr. Garrison has been appointed, and probably w ill not be unpointed during the course of the year, Adjunct Professor E. C. Barker w ill act as the ad m in istrative head of the school. The vacancies in the School of H is­ tory occasioned by the resignation ut the above-mentioned instructors have been I iID-cl and judging from the rec­ ords the new faculty members bring with them, the strength of the School of H istory w ill not be alfected by the * bangos made.
