,,,. . September 5, 1968 NBC Radio at 8 AM --Bill Brown from Moscow "Reports persist here today that President Johnson and Soviet Premier Aleksey Kosygin will meet in Geneva late this month, but the Kremlin remains silent. This cannot be considered either affirmation or denial. One Swiss source says today that inquiries have been made by Washington concerning security for the President. The same source says Russians now attending Disarmament Conference in Geneva have been told that such a summit meeting is being planned. Mr. Johnson's desire for a summit meeting is an open secret here. It is felt that the Soviets are more receptive now in the face of worldwide condemnation over the occupation of Czechoslovakia than they were to the same idea a month ago. 11
