The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR pres~nts its compliments to the Embassy of the USA and in connection with the Embassy's note of August 17~ 19G4 concerning etec~ions for President of the Federal Republic of Germ.1ny in tlest Berlin states that the Soviet Government con(irms the viewpoint expressed in the Ministry's notes of April 22 and June 25 on this question. The Soviet Government wishes alAo to emphasize that the American side will bear responsibility for ell possible consequenees of the policy it pursues of connivance in illegal acts of thP-F'ederal Republic of Germany authorities in West Beelin.
