Abstract: This thesis describes the development of the computer program UT Fire, which serves as a preprocessor for the computer program SAFIR2007. SAFIR2007, developed at the University of Liege in Belgium, conducts heat transfer analysis and structural response analysis for structures subjected to fire. The preprocessor UT Fire was developed to allow a simplified graphical interface for input to the heat transfer portion of SAFIR 2007. This thesis provides step by step instructions on the use of UT Fire and illustrates its use through a series of detailed examples.
